The Jameson Live party went down at the carnivore grounds on Saturday with big names in attendance, including American rapper and DJ Kid Capri, DJ Milkshake, and DJ Andre. A host of Kenyan celebrities also featured in the event and judging from the photos, it was a lot of fun.
He’s previously toured extensively with multi-platinum artists such as Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, Busta Rhymes, Usher, R-Kelly, Mary J. Blige, and Dru Hill among others. He has also produced music for power players such as Jay-Z, Snoop Dog, Nas, Warren G and 50 Cent. His studio precision and artistry has eventually made him a Grammy-award winning producer.
DJ Kid Capri was supported by DJ Milkshake from South Africa; a hip-hop guru is even currently riding the wave of stardom with his urban electro pop mixes on his 5FM radio show ‘the Shakedown’ in South Africa. As well as local turntable wonder DJ Andre and Madtraxx.
The night lived up to the promise of hosting an exceptional evening of the very best in Hip-Hop and electronic music, party-goers also got to revel in a complete Jameson experience with a host of innovative technology zones and bars. The Nairobi edition of Jameson St Patrick’s Live on the other hand perfectly captured the street party atmosphere of the authentic live St Patrick’s Day annual celebration held in Dublin, Ireland.
Nairobi was one of several cities around the world to host the St Patrick’s Live party. As well as the hometown party in Dublin, Jameson took the St. Patrick’s celebrations to cities from Prague to Buenos Aires and Mumbai to Stockholm.
While interviewing George Karanu, JAMESON Irish Whiskey Kenya Brand Ambassador, at the event, he noted with great enthusiasm, “The world’s favourite Irish whiskey is celebrating an iconic Irish holiday with a show stopping party. The St Patrick’s Live Nairobi edition is and will always be a must attend for music lovers and party-goers. We will be one of many cities celebrating and we aim to bring a world-class event to Nairobi in future days’.
