Alicia Keys – the New Face of Givenchy 2014 Perfume

Alicia Keys is bringing the sweet smell of success to a store near you. This girl is on fire! She is not only one of the most talented women in the game; she is now officially the new face of Givenchy Fragrance and perfumes, the French label announced yesterday.

The Grammy winner shared her excitement on Twitter, writing: “So proud to be part of the @ParfumsGivenchy family! Much love & Divine energy! Love forever, Alicia.”

“I’m honored to introduce the world to the newest scent by Givenchy which has long been one of the world’s most iconic luxury fashion houses, and a personal favorite of mine,” she added.

This deal marks the first time that the Grammy Award-winning singer has ventured into the beauty business as her first-ever beauty contract in her life & career as well with her campaign for the not-yet-revealed perfume set to break in September.

Most of her attention, beyond music, has been focused on fashion — namely her most recent collection of signature kicks for Reebok Classic. Nevertheless, the “Girl on Fire” is in good company — Liv Tyler, Uma Thurman and Amanda Seyfried have all fronted Givenchy perfumes through previously fronted Givenchy Fragrance ads.

She also joins such music artists as Erykah Badu who posed for Givenchy’s Spring 2014 collection and Justin Timberlake, who promoted Givenchy’s Play adverts back in 2012.

Keys is a very busy woman these days. The piano diva just released ‘It’s On Again’ featuring Kendrick Lamar, which is featured in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2′ movie. In addition, the New York City native is working on her sixth project with Pharrell Williams. “She’s gonna get ready to do something super next level,” he says.

She adds this to her list of accomplishments of being a New York Times best-selling author, producer, singer, mum and wife to rapper/producer Swizz Beats.

Well, Ms. Thang—you are killing it. We can’t wait to see what fierceness is revealed in Alicia’s ads for the yet-to-be-revealed fragrance once they launch in September.
