Cristiano Ronaldo unveils Footwear Line – CR7

The handsome men of the World Cup may be gone from your television screen for now, but that doesn’t mean they’re lost forever. Just yesterday, ace soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo dipped his toes into fashion & blessed the world by launching his own footwear line, called CR7 (That would be his initials + jersey number).

Taking to his official Facebook page, Cristiano Ronaldo announced the debut of CR7 footwear with the Portuguese athlete hoping to score points with a luxury offering that will feature both casual and formal styles. Much like the superstar footballer, the shoe is made entirely in Portugal & will be available in stores from February. Hence, that was a key factor in attracting Ronaldo to the new venture, according to the new label’s website,

The line, Ronaldo wrote on the social networking site, adding, “Quality, comfort and sophistication describe my newest brand.”

“Happy and proud to announce my newest range of products: Cristiano Ronaldo Footwear, 100% made in Portugal. Next February you’ll be able to get your own pair. Quality, comfort and sophistication describe my newest brand #CR7footwear. This Spring Summer 2015 you’ll know how it feels walking in my shoes.”
The CR7 Footwear collection highlights details including metallic plates screwed into the heels of the formal loafers and also features the athlete’s name stamped on the leather upper and the brand name ‘CR7’ on its sole. However, price points have not yet been disclosed.

The footwear line announcement follows the launch of Ronaldo’s underwear line, CR7 Underwear, in October 2013 that was produced in collaboration with designer Richard Chai.

The Real Madrid forward joins other athletes — including the Williams sisters, Tony Hawk and Jack Nicklaus — in designing footwear and/or apparel lines.
