Months after International Rome-based high fashion house, Valentino staged their new season’s campaign at the Amboseli National Park, VOGUE Japan recently made a fashionable boost to Kenya’s tourism industry having flown into the country to shoot for the Vogue May 2016 issue.
Dubbed ‘African Vibration’, the fashion spread recognizes a wardrobe of stripes and ethnic prints with shots featuring Brazilian model Renata Sozzi who was styled by the magazine’s fashion editor, Giovanna Battaglia.
The Brazilian beauty layers up in colorful looks for the stunning images shot by Erik Torstensson. With chunky accessories and an attractive headpiece, the model boldly stands out against Kenya’s natural flora & fauna.
The campaign supposedly shot at the Maasai Mara, highlights bold and colorful prints fused with Maasai accessories, and embracing Kenya’s diverse wildlife & tribal heritage of the Maasai community who stand out as a rich cultural jewel in Africa & the world over.
Designers featured on this spread include Stella McCartney, Missoni and more.
