Luxury is Tina Lobondi’s middle name and she is one style savvy making waves in the global fashion industry with her bespoke ready-to-wear label.

We love Tina Lobondi’s new collection, ‘I AM Congo’, starring Miss Congo UK, Lucrèce Kibeti  that features eclectic, flowing looks that Tina desired.

The collection dares to be different & is tailored for the independent woman. She’s strong, classy and enjoys quality clothing. “I have chosen a lot of blue and yellow prints for this particular collection,” Tina explains “I used a lot of floating, luxurious fabrics in honour of the colours from the Congolese flag and in turn, paying homage to my origin.”

Through her contemporary womenswear designs, Tina combines African prints with delicate French couture to curate a global appeal. She highlighted about how she loves being able to follow her instincts and get experimental with various fabrics and shapes. Luxurious materials plus edgy prints, mixed with elegance and femininity.

Lobondi tells us her designs are inspired by her everyday life, her family & the people she admires. “If I had to credit my artistic eye, it would be to my grandmother, she was always very chic and feminine,” she added. “I have always been very creative and loved drawing. I guess I discovered the fashion world when I was about fourteen.”

Tina, who even scooped a spot on Forbes 30 under 30 list runs a charity organization dubbed ‘ESIMBI’ (based in the Democratic Republic of Congo) besides the eponymous label she started in 2011. Previously, she’s worked with many charities such as the George Malaika Foundation to help them raise funds at events and proceeds from her first ever range that helped raise money for the Princess Diana Foundation at the “Finding Your Feet” event.
